Active Topic: Earthquake

Not long ago, a large earthquake just hit North-East Japan, with a magnitude of 8.9. I know this blog isn't dedicated to news, but I thought this was too big to not be mentioned. See the shocking footage for yourself here: http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/mar/11/japan-earthquake-miyagi-tsunami-warning.

QUICK UPDATE
I just added the toolbox I promised to add in the previous post. Check it out here.

  1. It's like a movie becoming real, to the people in there. My Japanese housemate personally is just laughing since he doesn't care about Northern Japan...

Insane how fast a tsunami can travel - 800km/hour and can sweep 10km inland. WTF!?

  4. to Angry China Man: why would anyone laugh at this disaster, regardless of whether they care about Northern Japan or not. Hundreds of lives are lost, families are torn apart. I hope your roomate realizes how immature he is.

  6. At least 1,300 dead when I last checked. This is gonna change the news for at least the coming year. Let's just rely on the Japanese' resilience and ability to rebuild.
